WFDF tournaments often set a fixed timeline to follow before a game to have the captains meet, verify the roster, do the flips etc. If a teams shows up late, with respect to the pre-game timeline, but just in time for playing – the whole pre-game activities need to be rushed to start the game on time.
Does the time a game starts is the time the first pull goes up, or the time the prescribed official pre-game activities start?
Also, there are prescribed durations given for the time between points at official tournaments. If teams choose to ignore these timings (the time-keepers whistles have no effect) what is the respective rule to come into effect – or can the timekeepers just be ignored? A deduction in “Rules knowledge and use” or “fairplay” seems very weak, since such behavior can simply let the clock run out and help you rest players.
