I read few europeans rules and there has been used both catch and touch! This may explain missunderstandings. In reply to: New ruletest

Our juniorteam captains used 4 hours to complete the test. :whistle:In reply to: 8.5.4 – “Delay of Game” stall when within 3 metres

ParticipantFerdiaR:
“I feel as though the starting the stall “only when the offense is within 3 metres” is an unnecessary restriction here, and that you should be able to start the stall regardless of where the offensive player/intended thrower is on field (as long as he is aware of it [“Disc In”]).”I agree a’lot!
So one defender (checker) touch the disc and calls 10/20 (and probably counts aloud backwards 10-9-8-..1-dics in play, stalling 1-2-3..).
He (checker) don’t have to be marker (possible to play zone).
The new rule is this way great to speed up the game and giving more option for D.

ParticipantSo if the offending team dont have any tmeouts, they can not make the Call. This is problematic because if they have started with only 6 player , they can not stop the point if they have not any timeouts.
Also if both teams have wrong number ( 8 )? And it is nociced after score!
And also if TeamA is playing with 7 and they are O, but TeamB have 8 and D. TeamA make a pass which is blocked/dropped lets say scorepass, then make the Violation-call. So how the play shall restart?Rulecomittee may rethink the rule.

ParticipantSo if TeamA notices that they have 8 players in during the point, they will loose timeout if they want to stop the point and correct the amount. All too tempting to stay silent.

10.1. Whenever play stops during a point for a time-out, foul, violation, contested turnover,
contested goal, technical stoppage, injury stoppage, or discussion, play must restart as
quickly as possible with a check. The check may only be delayed for the discussion of a

ParticipantDispute; intentional-drop or not?
-How do we handle the situation where player A blocks/intercepts a pass but insists that he only block it. Can s/he choose? Can team B force player A to be a thrower?
– If there is two defender intercepting the pass and they both drop it? Who is the thrower then?
– How do we handle if intentional-drop is like pushpass (over endzoneline) but next catch is dropped. Interceptor didnt established pivot.
The rule is clear in paper but causes too many open interpretations.(Ex. fast counter-attact). The problem is concept of INTERCEPTION.
