ParticipantI will quote the same line as Ruben here:
If a point has commenced and a team does not have exactly seven (7) people playing the point, or is in violation of A7.1, then the opposition may call a violation and play shall stop, or the offending team may call a time-out.
The opposition can always call a violation for this. I agree that this may not seem soft as there is no penalty for the offending team, but the rules state that “no one will break the rules on purpose”.

ParticipantThen the opposition may call a violation, as Rueben said above.

ParticipantThank you very much, this helps a lot!
However, this does not only apply for the example I provided. There are a few aspects of the rules that (sadly enough) not a lot of people know (at least not in the tournaments that I’m playing). Your answer will be a decent solution on the field and the closing of such “loopholes” in the future is even better.

Situation 4: Allowed, but would only alter the location of the correct pivot point if the disc was tipped back into the playing field.

Why is the location altered only if the disc is tipped back in? The last contact with an in-bounds player is where the defender touched it. So if you touch or catch it a second time (also for the first as stated in the interpretations), the pivot point would be the nearest point on the central zone.
