Here’s what happened:

Player A is marked by Player B, Player A passed the disc at Stall 9, the disc was caught by Player C inside the goal line. Player B called OB but Player C contested the call, the disc was returned to Player A. Player B started the stall count at stall 9. The question is, is this correct?? if it is correct, why?? if not, why??

I would say, as per 9.5.4, stall should restart maximum 6. It is not a contested stall-out, it is a contested out-of-bounds call (and either way, 9 is wrong).
