There doesn’t seem to be a rule regards to when the marker is counting more than 3 meters away, whether to stop to game to address the situation or, to call “fast count” which in some situations not suffice.

    Thank you.

Per 9.4, once the marker has moved more than 3 meters away, they have to start at 1 once they come back in.
I’m not sure what you should call, other than “you’re too far away”, to inform them, but if they continue to stall at greater than 3 meters you can call a violation and play would then stop.

I think you can refer to “18.1.5.3. there is an egregious marking infraction” and stop the play. but in order to keep the continuity if the game it might be better if this case is listed under fast count.

I was unable to find a clear marking infraction or violation but I think you can stop the game referring to “18.1.5.3. there is an egregious marking infraction”.
Though I believe it’s better if a line is added to fast count so that the continuity of the game is not disturbed.

If they spend the entire stall count outside of the radius, then you contest the stallout because they have not legitimately counted a stall 1 through 10. Play stops, which allows you to explain what happened.

If they start counting outside the radius, and then come inside the radius on stall N, then they are effectively starting on N, which makes it a fast count, which you can call. If they don’t reduce down to 1, you call the violation because they have failed to correctly adjust their count. In fact, you could argue that you can call the violation straight away, on the basis of 18.1.5.3.

Marking infractions are already pretty complicated, given that they must be noticed and called by a thrower who is being marked, looking for throwing options, and being vigilant for 6 different infractions with their own names. They’re already poorly enforced at most levels for that reason. Complicating them further when we already have an acceptable solution is not necessary.

That said, this outcome could be included in an official interpretation, for the sake of clarity.

You are right Tunisia, that your examples are correct applications of the rules, but they do not serve to keep the game flowing. Seems to me that having a word/phrases to inform your would be marker that they are to far away to be stalling would be very beneficial. At worst people will not use it and no harm no foul. A few suggestions on the name of the call: “Distance”, “Too Far” or “3 meters”.
