ParticipantThis is a scenario happen at a tournament event for a group.
I list it out in a google sheet with the link below since i can’t attach image.I want to ask in regards to what does Rule B3.3 mean here
In this case, there are 3 teams which are tied with 1 wins
B3.4.3 helps to determined the 2nd place in the group, leaving team C and D with -1 Goal difference as per B3.4.3However, since there’s 2 teams left, do we apply B3.3 and restart to determine who wins by going through B3.4.1, B3.4.2 and B3.4.3
OR
Do we continue straight to B3.4.4?
And if we use B3.4.4, is the common opponent for Team C & D here
Either
Team A onlyOR
We use Team A and Team B as common opponent?
Hope my questions is not confusing and hope we can get professional help on this.

KeymasterIf 3 teams are tied in that scenario (games won is the same and no forfeits), you need to rank the tied teams by the goal difference, only counting games between the tied teams.
If after that:
– Team B is on +2
– Team C is on -1
– Team D is on -1
Then Team B is Ranked above Team C and Team D.Then as per B3.3.2, you go back to Head to Head to rank Team C and Team D (B3.4.1)
Therefore Team D is ranked above Team C, as Team D beat Team C.Hope that helps

ParticipantThanks a lot for your reply Reuben and clarifying on the rules.
Glad that we went through this for an event so we can be better organiser.
I have a question, For B3.4.4, when the rules mention common opponents,
IF in this instance, since we have to restart the tiebreaker again due to B3.3.2,
just for the sake of discussion, if there’s 2 teams left from the 3 teams tied, if we have to evaluate based on B3.4.4 (most likely not since it’s only 2 tied teams), is Team A and Team B here be considered as the common opponent for Team C and Team D?OR is only Team A as common opponent?
My guess is it would be Team A and Team B as common opponent, since we are restarting the tiebreakers for 2 teams (due to B3.3.2)
would that understanding be correct?
