Hey everyone, we had a tough travel call during our tournament this weekend. Watching the video, I don’t see any change in direction or speed from the thrower. I think the defender may have been confused because the thrower was moving diagonally, but the pace stayed consistent, he reduced his velocity without a change in the direction. In super slow motion, I did notice the thrower moved his foot slightly — but only after the disc had already been released.

Unfortunately, as players, what can we really do in these situations? Whether we contest or accept the travel, the outcome doesn’t change — the disc goes back. I believe that in moments like these, the best we can do is uphold the spirit of the game and trust our opponents.
