We had the situation that an offensive player moves off the field directly off the field. While the defence moved over the defender of that guy lost vision and was guarding another player. at some point the offensive player moved into the playing field again and scored easily as there was no defender.

Is this legal?
I could not find any rule for that.

The only note we have about this comes from the Official Annotations document:

It is bad spirit to intentionally leave the playing field and use players/objects on the sideline to disguise your location.
