In 11.4.2, what is the definition of “first contact”? Should it be “first contact [with the playing field or an out-of-bounds area]”? For example, let’s say I catch the disc airborne, and, instead of my toe drag touching the in-bounds playing field, it instead touches only my defender’s body (which is laying flat in-bounds on the playing field), and then I land out-of-bounds. Am I in-bounds if I never directly touched the playing field before landing out? 11.3.4 says contact between players can’t confer the state of being in-bounds or out-of-bounds.

11.4. The following are out-of-bounds turnovers, and no catch is deemed to have occurred:

11.4.2. after catching the disc while airborne, an offensive receiver’s first contact is out-of-bounds while
still in contact with the disc.

11.3.4. Contact between players does not confer the state of being in- or out-of-bounds from one to
    another.
