    Throw
A disc in flight following any throwing motion, including after a fake attempt and an intentionally dropped disc, that results in loss of contact between the thrower and the disc. A pass is the equivalent of a throw.

Above is the definition of a throw plucked from https://rules.wfdf.org/definitions.

There have been talks and about a throw needing a full rotation of a disc to be considered legal and multiple people have claimed to have read it somewhere in their life time. Can anyone enlighten me on this topic?

I went back and looked at the rules from 2000 and 1970 – I saw no mention of needing a full rotation of a disc
