So if the foul occurs after the pass has been made, then it is not a defensive throwing foul but an indirect foul. 16.2 still applies, so according to 16.2.4.2.1. it would seem that possession was not affected, so the turnover stands, but the fouled player may make up any positional disadvantage caused by the foul.
