Comments from the sideline should only be acceptable. Only if one believes that “reminders” about rules would go both for infractions of opponents but also of teammates, equally. And we all know that it is not the case.
But what do you mean by “accountability”? You mean punishment, right? That means a judge. And I much rather have a jury of pears. And that we deal in Restorative Justice and not blame and punishment. But for that we need the numbers. Enough people/teams willing to go the extra mile, and patience, to push for such a cultural understanding.
