Also, more importantly, what would the approach to dangerous plays be then if it doesn’t affect the outcome of the play? To me, allowing the turnover to stand, in a way, condones dangerous plays as long as it doesn’t affect the outcome of the play. You can foul constantly (bumping on the mark, pushing, etc.) and not affect the outcome of the play, and it wouldn’t hurt anyone (it would be bad spirit though). But if you play dangerously constantly, even though it doesn’t affect the outcome of the play, one of those times someone is going to break a bone, get a concussion, or get injured some other way.
